Students must consider both financial and non-financial aspects of the acquisition decision. Secondary aspects include a host of other financial and strategic issues facing Manulife Financial. The case would be relevant for either a senior undergraduate or graduate course in strategy or financial management as it requires analysis and support drawing from both disciplines.
